APW - Illinois, Inter State Chronometer, 23J, 18S, gold-filled HC recase with attractive engraving detail including a small lakeside home scene within rear shield, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel, two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, gilt mvt screws and regulator assembly, s#2336875. A rare top grade private label, the total production of the 23 jewel 18 size hunting case Inter State Chronometer is believed to be only 200 made.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent two-tone color, some scattered mild micro-fine scratches and mild small surface spots, banking pin screw heads with marring to their slots, one case screw is a non-gilt replacement; dial with two hls in center section, few fine scratches, small areas of printing loss to bottom-left of 2 and 3 numerals; fine hands with some areas of oxide, mild bends to hour; case shows little wear, few scattered mild dings or nicks, excellent engraving detail, wear to brass to raised ridges at outermost perimeter of front and rear and in some areas to pendant; tight brassy bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
